The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year Award for 2006 was recently presented to Ron Baysden, the owner and president of Impulse Manufacturing. Ron began his business in Mississippi twenty-five years ago. In 1999, he relocated the business to Dawson County with only a few employees. Over the next seven years, he continued to expand the company, and not only increased the size of the facility, but also added state of the art, technology driven equipment with each expansion. Impulse Manufacturing currently employs well over 100 people and in 2006, Impulse completed its most recent expansion. As the business continues to grow, Impulse looks forward to increasing the workforce and continued success in Dawsonville. The award was presented to Ron by Senator Chip Pearson.
